One of Australia’s largest food service distributors

The Project Brief

When one of Australia’s largest retailers needed to navigate the complexities of the Heavy Vehicle National Law, they came to us. With a national fleet, they required a clear, strategic roadmap to drive compliance and ensure every part of their operation met the law’s demanding standards. The mission was to move beyond simply ticking boxes and develop a tangible plan that would foster a culture of safety and efficiency from the ground up.

The Delivery

Our first step was to get everyone on the same page, creating a common language around the compliance landscape from the executive level down. With our detailed project plan approved, our first goal was to develop a common understanding and language around the compliance landscape, so there was clarity around the journey and the destination. The project required in-depth discovery into the operations and their interface with other key service delivery functions, sales, marketing, customer service and support services including HR, IT and fleet management. But ultimately, it was the experiencing the business through the drivers lens, that we gained real insight into the daily challenges they faced and company culture.

The Outcome

After four months, the project culminated in a comprehensive strategic roadmap which was presented to the company’s Board. This clear, actionable plan provided the business with the precise guidance it needed to move forward with confidence. The roadmap was so robust that when a new Head of Safety was appointed, they were handed a fully-realised strategy, ready for immediate implementation and set up for success.
